Almost, but not quite GO
What a process it has been to get the facility build-out complete. I am starting to see this long, drawn-out, process as a good thing. Good in that it has given me time to obtain much training, prepare and strengthen our processes and procedures, and most importantly, build our connections within the machining and manufacturing companies.
We have taken advantage of many training opportunities through CIRAS, the Manufacturing Extension Program (MEP) for Iowa. If you have not worked with CIRAS, you are missing out on some wonderful help for your business. Give them a look.
Our Vertical Machining Center, SMART Machine Tool SV-3, will be delivered in the last half of October. I look forward to working with Gehl Machine Tool to prepare the mill and those of us at 686 Precision to fully utilize the capabilities of this great machine.
If you have a need for mill work up to around 25x15x15 inches, we would love to hear from you. If you just want to drop us a line to introduce yourself, and say hello, we’d like that too.
